Football Stadium – Athletic Field

The track of the field of Nafplio, with a tartan of 9 corridor, four trenches for long jump and triple jump , the obstacles and more generally all the infrastructure of the field is the reason for training and preparation of many great athletes in this field. During times, the stadium of Nafplio has hosted international meeting racing track, nationwide school championships, nationwide military leagues and many regional races Athletics Federation.

Visiting Hours:
Monday to Friday 7am - 10p.m. (the two external routes of tartan have been given to the public.)

Swimming Pool

The swimming pool of the Municipality of Nafplio is of Olympic size and it has 10 trails for swimming. It features a pool of learning, heated main pool, modern dressing rooms, seating with capacity for approximately 850 spectators, fitness room with weights, fitness room relaxing and suitable lighting for use at night time.

The open air swimming pool has accommodated many athletes for individual programs, groups for Olympic preparation or for preparation in tournaments nationwide and national championships.

Today (2011), 3 local clubs make use of the pool, who in addition to racing parts, keep swimming learning programs and programs for the general public.

It is important that the swimming pool is daily available for the public, except weekends 2pm - 4p.m. and 7 pm - 8pm and only after consultation with any of the groups.

Indoor Gym of Nafplio

The Indoor Stadium of Nafplio is fully equipped to support the sport of basketball, the Volleyball and Handball. It can accept 500 sportsmen in its wooden deck. It is heated with spacious locker rooms and wooden flooring. In this stadium and in consultation with the Office of Physical Education most school basketball tournament of Volleyball and Handball are conducted.

Furthermore, the stadium is available for sporting events or not, such as organizing games and martial arts demonstrations, presentation of dance performances, etc.

Monday - Wednesday - Friday 2pm - 4p.m.

Near the Indoor Stadium, 2 outdoor basketball courts are free to the public every day and hour of the week. Moreover, there is adequate lighting up to 11.30 pm to the best serve the visitors of the place.

In the same yard there are 3 tennis courts. Two of them have been granted to local Tennis Club, while the third is free to the public from the morning until 10:30 in the evening. (There is adequate lighting that supports the nightly use of land.)

A room clinic is available in football, swimming and basketball stadium. The "Sports Center of Nafplio" according to periodic measurements serves approximately 800-900 people daily.

A new modern gym in the Agia Triada has been prepared and it is delivered for use in public.
