The only LIBRARY of ARTS & THE HUMANITIES in Nafplion, it holds 30.000 volumes of mostly english, greek, french & german books. Among its collections you can also find some russian, spanish & italian books, plus 150 titles of periodicals, papers & magazines – on art, architecture, literature & nature – as well as video films & CDs.
Open to all locals & visitors, the LIBRARY has become a favourite hub for students & bookworms. A team of educators & a librarian run its educational & creative workshops for children, adults, 65+ citizens, various associations & schools.
Adorned by artworks & handcrafted furniture of the FKPCOLLECTION, the LIBRARY offers a beautiful, quiet oasis of culture & aesthetics, an ideal place for hosting evening book readings, presentations & book club meetings.
Over the years, FOUGARO LIBRARY has also established a wide network of collaborations with local institutions, galleries, museums, technical schools & universities.

In collaboration with the Harvard Center for Hellenic Studies, it has offered a series of internships to Greek & international students of the University of Barcelona, the Ionian University & Harvard.

The LIBRARY also hosts & organises film nights, theatrical performances, cycles of greek documentary films & presentations of school film productions. But for the young children of Nafplion, the best of all that the LIBRARY has to offer is its puppet show productions!!!
